The system enables charging for using services in both the pre-paid and the post-paid mode, allowing for access control to services. Customer charging accounts are set up that can store arbitrarily defined resources that are used by sevice events and sessions. The usage is controlled by freely configured parametrised charging schemes. The services allow for managing charging schemes, managing charging accounts, running charging processes, and managing the generated charging data.
